NEWS RELEASE – COVID UPDATE

COVID UPDATE

The Wrangell Emergency Operations Center (EOC) was notified today, November 3, 2021 of two (2) new positive COVID cases.

  • Both individuals are Wrangell residents.  One individual traveled recently and is symptomatic.   They have been notified and are in isolation. There is no additional information available.

Our current case count is at nine (9).

Please take individual steps to protect yourself and your family.

  • Isolate yourself if you feel any cold-like symptoms and get tested for COVID-19 as soon as possible.
  • Avoid crowded places and gatherings; keep social circles small.
  • Stay at least 6 feet away from people outside of your household.
  • Have a mask on when you are around people outside of your household – even if you can maintain a 6-foot distance from others.
  • Take advantage of free, asymptomatic testing and test regularly.
  • Wash your hands often and disinfect commonly touched surfaces and objects.
