PUBLIC NOTICE

A Work Session of the Wrangell Borough Assembly will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 14, 2018.  Pursuant to Wrangell Municipal Code, Section 3.04.090, a Special Assembly meeting will immediately follow the Work Session.  The following business will be considered:

Work Session: Byford Land Transition Discussion

a. Approval of Byford Land Grading Plan

b. EXECUTIVE SESSION: Discuss with the Borough’s legal counsel, Dorsey & Whitney LLP and the Borough Manager, legal issues regarding the proposed Asset Purchase Agreement with SEARHC regarding the Wrangell Medical Center

c. PROPOSED ORDINANCE No. 948 OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE CITY AND BOROUGH OF WRANGELL, ALASKA, REGARDING A PROPOSED TRANSACTION BETWEEN THE CITY AND BOROUGH OF WRANGELL AND SOUTHEAST ALASKA REGIONAL HEALTH CONSORTIUM CONCERNING FUTURE OPERATION OF THE WRANGELL MEDICAL CENTER AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HOSPITAL IN WRANGELL

d. PROPOSED ORDINANCE No. 949 OF THE ASSEMBLY OF THE CITY AND BOROUGH OF WRANGELL, ALASKA, PROVIDING THAT CERTAIN WRANGELL MUNICIPAL CODE PROVISIONS ARE NOT APPLICABLE TO THE PROPOSED TRANSACTION BETWEEN THE CITY AND BOROUGH OF WRANGELL AND SOUTHEAST ALASKA REGIONAL HEALTH CONSORTIUM CONCERNING FUTURE OPERATION OF THE WRANGELL MEDICAL CENTER AND THE CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW HOSPITAL IN WRANGELL PROVIDED FOR IN ORDINANCE 948
