SEARHC Wrangell Medical Center

Description of Project: The project includes the construction of a new approximately 35,000 square foot Critical Access Hospital with a Long-Term Care Unit. The new structure will connect to an existing two-story clinic building via a covered walkway. The project also includes interior renovations of the existing clinic. Construction is scheduled to begin Spring 2019. The project is located at 232 Wood Street, Wrangell, AK 99929.

Site clearing began on the project over the weekend of April 6. Truck traffic from the Hospital site along Zimovia Highway and Etolin Ave/Pine Street to Ketchikan Readi Mix property on Ishiyama Drive (Spur Road) past the golf course will increase, so please everyone use caution when driving and walking. Truck traffic signs have been posted to keep everyone aware. 

Begining May16 through December 2020, pedestrian and vehicular access to the medical clinic must use Wood Street access as Etolin Avenue, near the construction zone, will be closed to all but construction related traffic.
