Community Center - Piping Abatement
Notice is hereby given that the City and Borough of Wrangell, Alaska will receive sealed bids for the construction of the Wrangell Community Center, Piping Abatement.
The Work consists of all activities necessary to remove and dispose of the original heating and plumbing piping system. The Work is comprised of a Base Bid, Alternate 1 and Alternate 2.
Sealed bids will be received by the City and Borough of Wrangell, Post Office Box 531, Wrangell, Alaska 99929, or located at the Borough Clerk’s Office, 205 Brueger Street, Wrangell, Alaska 99929, until 2:00 PM prevailing time on May 8, 2015.
The Contract Documents, including one set of reduced scale drawings, may be obtained at the office of the Borough Clerk’s Office, 205 Brueger Street, Wrangell, Alaska 99929, Telephone 907-874-2381, Email: clerk@wrangell.com. A non-refundable fee of $25.00 made payable to the City and Borough of Wrangell is required for each set of contract documents. Additional charges will be required for special handling or delivery of the documents by means other than first class mail. The Contract Documents may also be downloaded, free of charge, from the City and Borough of Wrangell’s website (www.wrangell.com) under the “Bids and RFPs” section. Downloading Contract Documents from the City and Borough of Wrangell’s website requires registration with the Borough Clerk in order to be placed on the Plan Holders List and to ensure receipt of subsequent Addenda. Failure to register may adversely affect your proposal.

The Bids will be publicly opened and read at 2:00 PM on May 8, 2015 in the City and Borough of Wrangell’s Assembly Chambers in Wrangell, Alaska.
The OWNER reserves the right to reject any or all Bids, to waive any informality in a Bid, or to make award to the lowest responsive and responsible Bidder, as it best serves the interests of the OWNER. The City and Borough of Wrangell intends to reject the bids or issue an Intent to Award, within 10 days following the bid opening.
