Filing Sales Tax Returns

The tax imposed under Wrangell Municipal Code 5.08.090(c) is due at the end of each quarter, and must be filed within one month from the end of the quarter (please refer to the tax dates listed below).

A tax return must be filed for each quarter, even if no sales or services occurred. In this case, please report an amount of zero.

Due Date Reminder: Payments, including those placed in the City Hall drop box, must be received by 5:00 PM on the due date. Payments that are postmarked on the due date will be accepted as paid on time.

Payment Options

Sales Tax Payments: You can conveniently pay your sales or transient taxes online. To make a payment, CLICK HERE.

Cash & Check: Payments made by cash or check are accepted at no charge.

Credit Card: A 2.75% surcharge applies for credit card payments.

Online Check: A flat $2.50 fee per transaction applies (e.g., multiple payments made for one entity will be charged a total of $2.50).
