Economic Development Board
The Economic Development Board (EDB) consists of five members representing diverse interests appointed by the Mayor and the Borough Assembly. The terms for all board seats are three years, staggered terms.

EDB Mission
The Economic Development Board was established to encourage employment opportunities, foster more stable and diversified local economy, improve local economic conditions, and provide a mechanism for guiding and coordinating the efforts of local individuals and organizations concerned with economic development in Wrangell.
Responsibilities include:
1) recommendations of economic policies, plans and priorities;
2) coordination of economic development plans;
3) advocates and representatives of the community economic development;
4) promotion of public/private partnerships;
5) review economic development projects and activities submitted for public funding assistance;
6) preparation of the annual Community Economic Development Strategy.
The Board meets as needed.
