Public Notice of a Town Meeting

There will be a Town Meeting, held telephonically (Zoom) on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 beginning at 6:00 PM. 

The purpose of this Town Meeting is for the presentation of the proposed Alaska Federal Delegation Landless Legislation.

Please submit your questions or comments in advance to clerk@wrangell.com. If there is time, questions, or comments from the audience (Zoom) will be allowed.

Public is encouraged to review the legislation (beginning on page 11) and the five attached maps showing lands being proposed for selection by the new Urban Corporation for Wrangell. Please be aware, this specific legislation terminated at the end of December with the close of the Congressional Session. A new piece of legislation will be introduced in this session. The attached bill should be considered the most recent iteration of legislation available for review.

Representatives from Alaska Natives Without Land will be in attendance to provide information and answer questions during the Town Meeting.

Although there may be a quorum of the Assembly present for the Town Meeting, no official action will be taken.
