Our Town, Our Future - Community Economic Discussion

First session of "Our town, Our future" community discussion surrounding Wrangell's economy. Staff will prepare information that details the economic trends within the region and how Wrangell fits within the larger landscape of Southeast Alaska.

Thanks to the Stikine Inn who has generously offered their space as our host facility.

Additional sessions will be hosted throughout the winter months, October - March on the third Friday of every month. Time and locations may vary.

On Friday, October 18th the Economic Development Department host the first "Our Town, Our Future" Economic Coffee Chat. Staff and attendees were joined (virtually) by Meilani Schijvens of Rain Coast Data and Robert Venables of SE Conference for a presentation on the current economic conditions of Southeast Alaska. The presentation was followed by a brief question and answer session with our speakers, and rich discussion as to how Wrangell fits into the bigger picture of the region.
