Economic Development Board

The Wrangell Economic Development Board will hold a joint work session and regular meeting on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025 @ 5:30 PM in the Borough Assembly Chambers located in City Hall.
The work session aims to provide an overview of collaborative efforts between the Borough and Chamber for the Wrangell Convention and Visitors Bureau, Economic Development Board, and Chamber of Commerce Board. Recent efforts between the Borough and Chamber include a shared facility agreement and a joint workplan that aims to materialize shared goals and objectives between the two entities.
The regular meeting agenda includes a review of the Borough’s Timber Initiative, Prospective Timber Sales and Timber Management Zoning Designations on select Borough Entitlement Lands, as well as a review of a proposal to purchase a portion of the Deep-Water Port property for economic development purposes.
Information will be published for public access in advance of the meeting. The meeting packet may be obtained through the calendar on the Borough website at https://www.wrangell.com/calendar.
