Planning and Zoning Commission

The Wrangell Planning and Zoning Commission’s regular meeting will be held on Thursday, October 10th, 2024 @ at 5:30 PM in the Borough Assembly Chambers located in City Hall.

The agenda includes the following items:

  1. (PH) Variance application requesting a variance to the front yard setback for a covering to be constructed over the exterior entry along the driveway and right-of-way on Lot 7L, Block 67 of the Mount Dewey Farm Addition Re-subdivision, according to Plat No. 93-10, zoned Single Family Residential, owned and requested by Nancy Guthrie.
     
  2. (PH) Review of draft ordinance establishing terms and conditions for an Overlaying Residential-Light Industrial Zoning District. The new zoning district is being considered as an overlay for the following lots;
    • Lot A-1A and A of the Torgramsen-Prunella subdivision according to Plat No. 2015-3, owned by the Wrangell Cooperative Association.
    • Lot A1 of the Torgramsen subdivision according to Plat No. 2010-2 owned by Tlingit and Haida Regional Housing Authority.
    • Lot B of the Torgramsen- Smith subdivision according to Plat No. 2015-8 owned by Bruce Smith.
    • Lot Remainder A-2 of the Torgramsen-Glasner subdivision according to Plat. 2017-10 owned by Phillip Mach.
    • Lot D of the Torgramsen-Austin subdivision according to Plat No. 2017-1 owned by Southeast Alaska Regional Health Consortium.
    • Lot C of the Torgramsen-Glasner Subdivision according to Plat No. 2016-2 owned by Donald Glasner.

If you receive this notice by mail, your property is within 300 ft. of the applicant and property involved in one or more of the Public Hearing (PH) items listed above.

Information will be published for public access in advance of the meeting. The meeting packet may be obtained through the calendar on the Borough website at https://www.wrangell.com/calendar.
