WRANGELL POLICE & SOUTHEAST NARCOTICS TASK FORCE

ARREST/CHARGE SUSPECT IN DRUG CASE
 

Wrangell, AK – On Wednesday, May 19, 2021, the Wrangell Police Department and multi-agency members of the Southeast Narcotics Task Force arrested Wilson Taylor Boon. United States Postal Service employees in Wrangell intercepted a suspicious package. A search of the package revealed it contained a controlled substance. Mr. Boon was taken into custody upon personal receipt of the package.

Mr. Boon was charged with Misconduct Involving a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree. He was booked into the Wrangell Community Jail where he is awaiting judicial process. The investigation is ongoing with the Narcotics Task Force partners.

As a reminder about the due process of rights, these charges are considered accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.
