PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

For immediate release: February 14, 2025, at 10:30 a.m.

Road Closure for Water Main Repairs

Public Works is aware of another water main leak in First Avenue near the old Hospital and Elementary School. 

In order to facilitate this repair, the 1st Avenue water main south of Bennett Street will need to be completely shut down. 

In the interest of not disrupting school service, Public Works is planning on executing this repair on Monday, February 17th while school is not in session. 

Please avoid this portion of 1st Avenue on Monday February 17th.  Work is expected to be completed by the end of the day, Monday.  Please reach out to the Public Works Department at (907) 874-3904 with any questions or concerns.
