Seafood Harvesting and Processing

One of Wrangell's oldest industries is the seafood processing industry. Wrangell has a state of the art public belt freezer and cold storage that are currently managed by Trident Seafoods.  Trident Seafoods and Sea Level Seafoods are the two primary commercial seafood processing companies, processing salmon, crab, shrimp, halibut and rockfish.  Alaska Specialty SEA Foods processes crab. The community has supported infrastructure for the fishermen to support their supply needs as well as the processors for their product and facility expansion efforts.
