Water Shortage Management Plan
The Wrangell Borough Assembly has adopted a three-stage water management plan that gives the borough authority to impose mandatory water restrictions on water customers should we find during the course of spring and summer that our drinking water production is not keeping up adequately with demand.
The plan establishes water reduction mandates, along with enforcement measures, for all residents, businesses and municipal operations. The plan is anticipated to help the borough maintain an adequate supply of treated water as well as safeguard our water resource during summer's high peak demand.
All water users are strongly encouraged to read and become familiar with this important document, which is attached here (or linked below).
We will also be providing helpful water conservation tips through our USE WATER WISELY webpage to keep the community updated as to water treatment and management issues.
